OUR MISSION

The Mission of Bethlehem United Methodist Church is to make disciples of all people by:

Sharing the good news of Jesus Christ, 

Nurturing individuals in Christian growth,

Meeting people’s physical and spiritual needs,

And being open and welcoming to every person.

SERVING GOD AND COMMUNITY

Our service opportunities to touch people’s lives in positive ways, through:

  • Sunday School
  • Vacation Bible School
  • Jail ministry outreach
  • Dinners for bereaved families following family funerals
  • Mission Trips
  • Prayer for those in need
  • Nursing Home visits
  • Helping our community with funds, clothes and other assistance as needed following a catastrophic event such as fire or flood
  • Fellowship with the community through free or fundraiser dinners
  • Delivering meals to neighbors
  • Children’s lending library
  • Annual events, i.e., the Christmas Play
  • Revivals
  • Providing Bibles


On May 10, 2019 the members of Bethlehem UMC supported a Friday dinner at the Liberty Soup Kitchen. The member volunteers prepared 350 meals that included potato soup, pimento cheese sandwich, Little Debbie Cream Cookie, crackers and a bottle of water. A combined effort by the volenteers and the soup kitchen organizers provided a hot meal for 350 Casey County residents in need.
